Mystery Writers of America opět udílela Edgary® na 66. galabanketu, který proběhl ve čtvrtek 26. dubna 2012 v Hotelu Grand Hyatt v New York City. Cenu za nejlepší román získala Mo Hayder za knihu Gone ze série s londýnským detektivem Jackem Cafferym. Zajímavá bitva byla svedena u biografií, kde se kromě dalších titulů utkaly i Tajemství dívky s dračím tetováním (HOST, 2012) autorů Dana Bursteina, Arne de Keijzera a Johna-Henriho Holmberga s knihou Johna Currana Promyšlené vraždy Agathy Christie (Knižní klub by měl vydat v srpnu 2012). Vyhrála však kniha Michaels Dirdy o A. C. Doylovi.
Cenu za celoživotní přínos GRAND MASTER získala Martha Grimes, které česky vyšlo pouze Třikrát Richard Jury ze Scotland Yardu (Odeon, 1992).
